Bullet is a new addition to Taylor Ranch. He's an impressive full English White Labrador that has produced champions and lots of blocky little white fur balls! We've used bullet as an outside stud several times before purchasing him from a breeder friend of ours. He's a powerful, gentle giant. Weighing in at around 95 lbs, he's a confident male that is non-confrontational and a site to see. He's spent most of his life living out doors, but since moving to the ranch has found himself right at home in our living room!

RETIRED
Charlie is now retired, but this is where we began. When we decided to invest into a quality white lab, we did extensive research and found that we actually were after a "blended" look.
As you may or may not be aware of, there are two variations of Labradors that you can have; the American style labrador, and an English style labrador. A labrador is a labrador according to the AKC, but the two variations standing next to each other can look very different. An american Lab is typically going to have longer legs, slimmer body, and not as much of a blocky head. The American style lab is generally noted for their ability to hunt and can hunt at longer ranges due to their more athletic build. On the flip side, an English style labrador is one typically found in the show ring, and is generally closer to the standard for labradors in confirmation. It usually has a wider head, shorter snout, shorter "beaver tail" etc. They can be very thick for their size as well. It is important to note that either style dog can excel at hunting or show, and can be athletic or a couch potato! It is truly dependent upon on the individual dog, but these descriptions are more of a generalization recognized by most labrador enthusiasts.
Back to a "blended look". We loved the face of an english lab, but wanted the athletic ability of american style lab for hunting, jogging partner, etc. We were fortunate enough to pick a pup that grew into an outstanding male that is basically exactly what we were after (we realize you can't completely predict these things). He is what we consider the perfect dog for us! He's part of our family, he's loyal, loves to play, loves to hunt even more, and is a stunning specimen to look at! His temperament is calm when he needs to be calm (in the house, or relaxing on the porch outside), but his engine turns on when it's time to work. He picked up retrieving like he was born for it, and can handle blind retrieves, directionals etc. He also loves to be social with other dogs. Charlie has OFA Certified "Excellent" hips and OFA Certified "Normal" Elbows. Charlie's pedigree is loaded with champions. There are over 41 champions in 7 generations the last time we checked, show and hunters, and they are almost exclusively white (or yellow as AKC classifies them). Charlie's offspring are showing his traits well, some were working in duck blinds before they were even 1 year old!
